Redirect Link Detection

Resolve Geniuslink, bit.ly, Amazon shortener, and other redirect URLs automatically

Available on:BasicPremium

When you add a URL that passes through a redirect service — Geniuslink, bit.ly, Amazon's amzn.to shortener, or any other link wrapper — MakerManifest automatically follows the redirect chain (up to 5 hops) and finds the real destination URL. The resolved URL is then used for product scraping, store domain detection, and your affiliate rules.

This means your store domain shows correctly even when you paste a Geniuslink URL, your affiliate tags are applied to the real product URL, and product images and titles are scraped from the actual product page rather than the redirect service.

For creators who intentionally use Geniuslink or a similar service for geo-routing (sending UK visitors to amazon.co.uk, US visitors to amazon.com, etc.), the 'Use original link' toggle is available in the item editor on Basic and Premium plans. When enabled, visitors are sent directly to your redirect service URL — bypassing our affiliate rules — so your geo-routing setup continues to work exactly as configured.
