Starting today, MakerManifest supports two-factor authentication (2FA) for all accounts. You can enable it now in Settings.
How it works
MakerManifest uses TOTP (Time-based One-Time Passwords) — the same standard used by Google, GitHub, and most major platforms. You'll need an authenticator app on your phone:
● Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
● Authy (iOS / Android / desktop)
● 1Password, Bitwarden, or any other TOTP-compatible password manager
When you enable 2FA, you'll scan a QR code with your authenticator app, then verify with a 6-digit code to confirm setup. From that point on, every login will ask for a code after your password.
Backup codes
During setup, you'll receive 8 one-time backup codes. Store these somewhere safe — if you lose access to your authenticator app, a backup code is the only way to get back in. Each code can only be used once.
Why enable it?
Your MakerManifest account is connected to your affiliate links, short URLs, and gear pages. If someone gains access to your account, they could change your affiliate tags and redirect your earnings. 2FA makes that significantly harder.
We recommend enabling 2FA if you're actively earning from affiliate links on the platform.
