The Deadline Is Real
kit.co goes dark on May 11, 2026. After that, your kit.co pages and links will stop working. Every YouTube description, Instagram bio, and link tree entry that points to a kit.co URL will break — and those broken links won't earn you anything.
MakerManifest has a direct kit.co CSV importer. Here's how to use it.
Step 1: Export From kit.co
● Log in to kit.co
● Go to your account settings
● Find the data export option and download your CSV
● Save it somewhere — you'll need it for the next step
Do this immediately. If kit.co goes down before you export, your data is gone permanently.
Step 2: Import Into MakerManifest
● In your MakerManifest dashboard, go to Dashboard → Import
● Upload the CSV file from kit.co
● Review the imported gear lists and products
● Fix any items where the automatic product scraping didn't fully work
Most items import cleanly. Products with unusual URLs or restricted scraping may need a manual title or image fix, which takes about 30 seconds per item.
Step 3: Connect Your Affiliate Programs
In Affiliate Programs, add your Amazon Associates tracking ID and any other affiliate tags you use. MakerManifest will automatically inject your tags on all matching links — no manual updates needed.
Step 4: Update Your Links
Each imported gear list gets a new short link (e.g. mkr.ms/your-list-name). Update your YouTube descriptions, bios, and other content to use these new short links. Once updated, your links are permanent — even if product URLs change in the future, your short link keeps working.
Don't Wait
Every week you delay is another week of affiliate clicks lost to kit.co's countdown. Create your MakerManifest account, complete the quick setup, and get your gear lists migrated today.
