If you regularly build gear lists with a similar structure — same sections, same starting items, same layout — the new List Templates feature is going to save you a lot of time.
Saving a template
Open any gear list from your dashboard. In the list options menu, click Save as Template. You'll be prompted for a template name (required) and an optional description.
The template captures a snapshot of your list at that point in time: all sections, all item titles, all URLs, and the full ordering. Think of it as a "master copy" of that list structure.
Managing your templates
All your saved templates are at Dashboard → Templates. From there you can:
- Rename any template
- Delete templates you no longer need
- See how many items are in each template
- Create a new list from any template
Creating a list from a template
On any template, click New list from this template. Enter a title for the new list and confirm. MakerManifest will create a complete copy of the template's structure as a new gear list in your account — ready for you to edit, add items, or publish.
What stays current
Your affiliate tags are not stored in the template. When you create a list from a template, your current affiliate settings are applied to every item. So even if you save a template today and use it a year from now, your earnings tags will be current.
